You Are Anxious – We Understand

Whether you are here because you need counseling or have had an abnormal ultrasound elsewhere, please know that we will take the necessary time to perform a comprehensive assessment of you and your fetus. We individualize each assessment and are specific in the information we acquire during your pregnancy evaluation. Our providers will explain the related concerns and will address your questions.

Due to the complexities of certain pregnancy conditions and their complications, we may employ multiple imaging and diagnostic resources that may be required in the evaluation of your pregnancy risks. We can not control the time for in-depth fetal studies, therefore appointment wait times may be affected, and cause delay.

Please understand that every patient seen in our office has been referred for a pregnancy concerns, and occasionally our assessments discover conditions that are unexpected, and the evaluation may extend beyond anticipated times, causing a delay for others. We will inform you in the event of such an occurrence.

What Is Being Done That Takes This Time May Include The Following?

  • Check In / Paperwork completion 15 minutes
  • Review of your Outside Records 15 minutes
  • History & Information gathering 25 minutes
  • NST Monitoring- 30 minutes
  • Ultrasound (average) 20-30 minutes
  • Physician New Consultation 30 – 45 minutes
  • Follow-up Consultation- 15- 30 minutes
  • Diabetes Counseling- 30 minutes
  • Surgical Consultation- 30 minutes
  • Labs and Genetic Counseling- 15 minutes
  • In-house Procedures -30-minutes

 

Patients are scheduled based on the referral diagnosis. The fetal assessment may discover conditions that require additional focus and consultation that may extend beyond allotted times. We will not rush your assessment, and we make every effort for you to leave informed of what will be required, if ongoing surveillance is indicated. This may at times impact patient wait times, however, we make every effort to minimize office delays.
