Meet Our Physicians

Dr. Dexter M. Page, MD, FACOG

Dexter M. Page, MD, FACOG is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Page received his medical degree in 1989 from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. He completed his OB/GYN residency at Harlem Hospital Center in 1993. He concluded his fellowship training in maternal-fetal medicine in 1995 at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, with a focus on obstetric sonography and fetal behavioral states.

Dr. Page has earned a reputation among his peers as a dedicated physician and instructor involved in resident education at multiple Atlanta area hospitals. Through Atlanta Perinatal Associates, Dr. Page is available for consultation to address the multitude of complex issues associated with high-risk pregnancy.

Dr. Page has been involved in various clinical studies, utilized pioneering technologies to advance fetal assessment, and has directed consultation for numerous at risk patients. Teaming with community, hospital, and health insurance leaders, he continues to advocate for policies that will lower perinatal morbidities.

Dr. Page is a diplomat of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, who has been committed to pregnancy outcomes through Atlanta Perinatal Associates for more than 20 years of service.

Dr. Onyeije

Chukwuma Onyeije, MD, FACOG

Dr. Onyeije received his medical degree in 1992 from Howard University College of Medicine after graduating with honors from Howard University College of Liberal Arts in 1988. He completed his OB/GYN residency at Harlem Hospital Center in 1996, and his fellowship training in maternal-fetal medicine and obstetrical sonography in 1998 at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

He served as Assistant Professor of OB/GYN and Director of Perinatal Services at North Central Bronx Hospital from 1998 to 1999. Most recently, he has been a Clinical Assistant Professor of OB/GYN at New York University School of Medicine and the Director of Resident Education at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan, New York.

During his four years at Lenox Hill Hospital, Dr. Onyeije developed a large private practice consisting of high-risk, pregnant patients. Dr. Onyeije has published articles, book chapters, and internet presentations on obstetrical sonography and pregnancy complications.

He is presently involved in studies involving new techniques to diagnose and treat fetal distress. He is a diplomat of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and a member of the National Medical Association (NMA), and the Society for Gynecologic Investigation.

Dr. Onyeije joined Atlanta Perinatal Associates in July 2003 and has served for over 15 years.

Dr. Alan M. Neuman, MD, FACOG

Alan M. Neuman, MD, FACOG is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Neuman received his medical degree in 1985 from Texas Tech University after graduating Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M University. He then completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago in 1989.

Dr. Neuman spent several years practicing general obstetrics and gynecology before pursuing a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at the University of South Florida in 2007. There, he had the opportunity to train with a world-renowned fetal surgeon.

Dr. Neuman also had the opportunity to collaborate on research in congenital heart disease with a world-renowned pediatric cardiologist. He has published articles on fetal electrocardiography and is currently involved with research on folate autoantibodies and congenital heart disease.

Dr. Neuman joined Atlanta Perinatal Associates in August 2007 and has served for over 11 years.

Dr. Ryan J. Schlueter, DO, FACOG

Ryan J. Schlueter, DO, FACOG is board certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Schlueter grew up in Roanoke, Virginia and attended the College of William and Mary. After one year off for medical externships, he attended the Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine and received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in 2011. He then completed an OB/GYN residency at the University of Buffalo in 2015 where he performed research in pre-gestational diabetes and developed an interest in high risk pregnancy.

Following his residency, Dr. Schlueter completed a fellowship maternal-fetal medicine in 2018. His research involved maternal obesity and multiple gestations.

Outside of work, Dr. Schlueter enjoys running, playing tennis, and travel.

Dr. Schlueter joined Atlanta Perinatal Associates in August 2018.

Dr. Bradley Stetzer, MD, FACOG

Dr. Bradley Stetzer attended college at the University of Florida and then attended the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, New York. He performed his residency training in OB/GYN in Detroit Michigan at Henry Ford Hospital/Bi-County Community Hospital. His maternal-fetal medicine fellowship was completed at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio.

 

After graduating in 2002, Dr. Stetzer provided patient care with an emphasis on managing diabetes mellitus, hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, cervical insufficiency, thrombophilia, preterm labor, and prenatal diagnosis & ultrasound at MetroHealth Medical Center for the next 20 years. Dr. Stetzer was the third medical student clerkship director for his department at Case Western Reserve University for 15 years, while also directing a 4th year Acting Internship for 150 students over 12 years. He focused on education for OB/GYN residents and MFM fellows as well. He has come to the Atlanta, Georgia area to provide consultative MFM care and offer any assistance with high-risk pregnancy care to this community.

Meet Our Advanced Practitioners

Ruby Henderson, RN, BSN, CNM, CDE

Ruby Henderson, CNM

Ruby Henderson received her BSN from the School of Nursing at City College of New York in 1980. In 1994, she continued her education and obtained a Master’s of Nursing degree from Emory University: specializing in Nurse Midwifery and post graduate studies with a focus in Family Practice in 1995. In 2010, she became a Certified Diabetes Educator.

Ms. Henderson has delivered over 3000 babies in the Metro Atlanta area. She has served as a volunteer in numerous activities including Baby’s Born Health and First Steps. She has precepted numerous Master’s degree level nursing students from Georgia State University and Emory University. Ms. Henderson presently serves as a clinical instructor at Emory University School of Nursing at Crawford Long, Newton General, and Rockdale Hospitals. Ms. Henderson has also sat on committees whose primary goal was to improve the healthcare of women and children.

In 2006, Ms. Henderson was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International, the official honor society of nursing, dedicated to supporting the learning, knowledge and professional development of nurses.

Ms. Henderson lives in Conyers, Georgia and has 2 daughters. She enjoys scuba diving, cycling, traveling, and gardening in her spare time.

Ms. Henderson joined Atlanta Perinatal Associates in January 2011.

 

Joann Elie, MSN, WHNP

Joann Elie MSN, WHNP is originally from New York. She attended University of Florida for her undergraduate degree in nursing.

Ms. Elie later attended Georgia State University and obtained her Master’s of Nursing degree in their Women’s Health Nurse practitioner program in 1999. While attending GSU, she trained and volunteered in different heath care areas. Due to her love for supporting and empowering women through all walks of life, Ms. Elie has endeavored to foster meaningful provider/patient relationships and lead her patients in the establishment of their healthcare goals and needs.

Ms. Elie is conversant in French/Creole and enjoys traveling, art, and cooking in her spare time.

Ms. Elie joined Atlanta Perinatal Associates in 2012 and remains very committed & excited to be part of such a fantastic team of providers and practitioners.

Amanda Jackson, RNC, FNP

Amanda Jackson has been a registered nurse since 1990. She graduated from LaGrange College, LaGrange, Georgia in 1990 with an Associate’s in Nursing; West Georgia College in 1993 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing; and the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2010 with a Master’s of Nursing/ Family Nurse Practitioner.

Ms. Jackson is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She has worked Emergency Department, Medical/Surgical and has over 18 years of Maternity Center/Labor & Delivery, and childbirth education experience.

Ms. Jackson is passionate about promoting education during pregnancy, as well as, participating & assisting families obtain the best care possible.

Ms. Jackson joined Atlanta Perinatal Associates in November 2011.

Deaxtra Bonham, DNP, WHNP

Deaxtra Bonham, DNP, WHNP is originally from Gainestown, Alabama. She graduated from the University of South Alabama, Mobile, AL with a Bachelor of Nursing degree in 2012.  She later returned to her undergraduate alma mater and obtained a Master of Nursing in Women’s Health in 2015 and Doctor of Nursing Practice in Women’s Health in 2017.  During her graduate studies, Mrs. Bonham was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, International.

Mrs. Bonham is board certified in Women’s Health with the National Certification Corporation. Her previous work experience as a RN includes both Medical-Surgical/Oncology and Labor and Delivery. As a provider, she has worked in Community Health and OB/GYN. She has precepted several undergraduate and graduate students during her career as both a RN and WHNP, as well as, worked as a clinical adjunct instructor for undergraduate nursing students. 

Mrs. Bonham is passionate about promoting education, fostering provider/patient relationships, and female empowerment to reach not only healthcare but personal goals as well. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, volunteering, being a mentor to younger children in the community and healthcare students, attending festival/concerts, and traveling.

Mrs. Bonham joined Atlanta Perinatal Associates in August 2021 and is proud to be a member of such knowledgeable and outstanding team of providers and staff.

Kimberly Eason, MSN, WHNP

Kimberly Eason, MSN, WHNP-BC moved to the Atlanta area in 1989. She received her RN degree from Dekalb College. As an RN, she worked in Labor & Delivery as well as High Risk Perinatal. She continued her education and received her Master of Science degree from Georgia State University in their Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner program in 2000. 

Board certified by the National Certification Corporation, Ms. Eason has worked in a variety of women’s health settings over her career and has precepted numerous Nurse Practitioner students. She is passionate about fostering provider/patient relationships and promoting education, healthcare, and support to her patients and families.

In her spare time, she enjoys camping, gardening, and all types of crafts. 

Ms. Eason joined Atlanta Perinatal Associates in June 2022 and is proud to be a member of such an outstanding team of providers and practitioners. 

Virginia Thomas, MSN, CNM

Virginia Thomas, MSN, CNM, grew up in Fitzgerald, GA. She graduated from Albany State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She worked in Labor & Delivery, where her “true love” for obstetrics led her to continue her education and earn a Master of Science in Nurse Midwifery degree from the University of Cincinnati.

Virginia has over 10 years of experience in women’s health. She enjoys women’s health and helping women in all stages of their reproductive lives. Virginia believes that every woman should be provided the best care and women’s health services should be available to everyone.

Virginia is married and has five children. She enjoys reading, singing, shopping, coaching soccer, and spending time with family & friends.

Mrs. Thomas joined Atlanta Perinatal Associates in March of 2023 and is very excited to be working in perinatology and to be a part of such a fantastic team of providers & practitioners.

Soniya Wadhwaniya, MSN, WHNP

Soniya Wadhwaniya, a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, recently graduated from the University of South Alabama. Soniya has always been passionate about women’s health and is committed to providing exceptional care to her patients.

In her free time, Soniya enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with her friends and family. She also enjoys staying up to date with the latest research and advancements in women’s health to provide the best possible care to her patients.

Tylise Stewart, MSN, WHNP-BC

Tylise Stewart, MSN, WHNP-BC is originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southern University A&M in 2011. She later attended the University of South Alabama and obtained her Master’s of Science in Nursing degree in their Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner program in 2020.

She has been board certified by the National Certification Corporation in Women’s Health since 2021. Throughout her nursing career, Tylise has worked in medical surgical, ambulatory care and women’s services. It was during her time as a travel nurse, where Tylise fell in love with women health and overall helping new mothers transition into their new role. She is passionate about women empowerment and providing community healthcare to all women. 

In her spare time, Tylise enjoys reading, spending time with family & friends, and travelling.

Tylise has been with Atlanta Perinatal Associates since March 2023 and is excited to be a member of this fantastic team of providers.
